SAK-Mod: Cigar 79 Elforyn

Es hat sich erneut ein Cigar 79 bei uns eingefunden, um veredelt zu werden.

Statt Madagaskar-Palisander wurden hier Schalen aus elfenbeinfarbenem Horn oder Elfenbein-Micarta gewünscht. Unsere Wahl fiel dann auf Elforyn, einen Elfenbeinersatz aus mineralischen Grundstoffen und einer Harzkomponente, welcher dem Original recht nahe kommt.

English description:

Again a Cigar 79 founds its way to us, to get new scales.

Instead of Honduras Rosewood the favourite material for the new scales was ivory horn or micarta. At last we desided to use Elforyn, a mineral-epoxy based Ivory-substitute, which is very sinmilar to the original.

SAK-Mod: Eibe Waiter Set

SAK-Mod: Ziricote Waiter

Schon beim Bau des Bocote-Waiters fiel auf, dass sich das Waiter-Modell perfekt als EDC-Messer eignet. Also wurde flugs noch ein weiteres Messer veredelt, diesmal mit Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra), wie es schon beim entsprechenden Spartan zum Einsatz kam.

Aufgrund einiger technischer Schwierigkeiten & Verzögerungen ist es seit der Vorstellung der Prototypen und des WIP (Work In Progress) um das Thema „Alox Mods“ leider ziemlich still geworden.

Damit es also nicht langweilig wird, haben wir uns das schwarze Alox Farmer genommen und die bestehende Werkzeugkombination um eine Schere ergänzt.

Wem der Sinn nach bewegten Bildern steht: Der neue Besitzer hat sich freundlicherweise die Zeit genommen, ein kleines Youtube-Review zu verfassen.

To liven things up we decided to take the black Alox Farmer and to complement the tool-set by adding a scissor.

Cigar 79 Madagaskar Palisander

Nach der letztes Jahr erschienen Ankündigung, dass Wenger-Messer vom Markt verschwinden werden, freue ich mich, dass einige Designs unter der Bezeichnung „Delemont-Collection“ weitergeführt werden. (English description below.)

Eines dieser Messer hat sich nun bei uns eingefunden, um in edlen wie raren Madagaskar Palisander gekleidet zu werden: Das Cigar 79.

After last years announcement, that Wenger knives will vanish from the market, I am happy that some designs will continue under the label „Delemont-Collection“.

Full Custom Mod: White Groove Soldier Plus

Nach dem OH Trekker Plus kommt nun ein weiterer 111mm full-custom-mod. (English description below.)

Gewünscht war ein Soldatenmesser, allerdings mit Schere anstatt der Säge und glatter Klinge. Dazu sollte es eine Beschalung aus gegroovtem weißem Micarta samt roter Fiberunterlage geben. Voila:
