SAK-Mod: kleiner Wüsten-Draufgänger
Es sollte ausdrücklich ein Gentleman-Messer, aber auch ein kleiner EDC-Begleiter sein. Also entschieden wir uns, das Bantam (engl. für kleiner Draufgänger) in edles und widerstandsfähiges Wüsteneisenholz zu kleiden, so daß das Messer beiden Anforderungen gerecht wird.

Das Cigar 36 – Hoyo de Monterrey Edition
Diesmal haben wir uns für das Cigar 36 – Modell entschieden, da es sich mit seiner puristischen Ausstattung auf das Wesentliche konzentriert. Um den Charakter eines Zigarrencutters zu unterstreichen, fertigten wir die Schalen aus einer Zigarrenkiste einer der ältesten und bekanntesten Zigarrenmarken auf Kuba: Hoyo de Monterrey.
Ein herzlicher Dank für die „Requisitenausstattung“ auch an Don Alexandro, der in seinem Cigar Blog das Messer einem Praxistest unterzogen hat.

After the presentation of the cigars-cutters with both rare honduras rosewood and noble elforyn we now present another exemplar:
The Cigar 36 – Hoyo de Monterrey Edition
This time we decided to use the Cigar 36 due to its puristic tool combination which is reduced to the basics. To emphasize the character as a cigar-cutter we manufactured the scales from the cedar-wood of a cigar box from one of the oldest and most famous Premium-Cigar-Brands from Cuba: Hoyo de Monterrey.
We also thank Don Alexandro, who tested this knife on his Cigar Blog.

SAK-Mod: Cigar 79 Elforyn
Es hat sich erneut ein Cigar 79 bei uns eingefunden, um veredelt zu werden.

Statt Madagaskar-Palisander wurden hier Schalen aus elfenbeinfarbenem Horn oder Elfenbein-Micarta gewünscht. Unsere Wahl fiel dann auf Elforyn, einen Elfenbeinersatz aus mineralischen Grundstoffen und einer Harzkomponente, welcher dem Original recht nahe kommt.

Again a Cigar 79 founds its way to us, to get new scales.
Instead of Honduras Rosewood the favourite material for the new scales was ivory horn or micarta. At last we desided to use Elforyn, a mineral-epoxy based Ivory-substitute, which is very sinmilar to the original.

Schon beim Bau des Bocote-Waiters fiel auf, dass sich das Waiter-Modell perfekt als EDC-Messer eignet. Also wurde flugs noch ein weiteres Messer veredelt, diesmal mit Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra), wie es schon beim entsprechenden Spartan zum Einsatz kam.
