Gewünscht war ein Soldatenmesser, allerdings mit Schere anstatt der Säge und glatter Klinge. Dazu sollte es eine Beschalung aus gegroovtem weißem Micarta samt roter Fiberunterlage geben. Voila:

Nach der kleinen Vorschau am Ende der Maser-Eiche Craftsman Vorstellung, geht es nun weiter mit dem Messer, welches das Thema „Eiche“ wieder aufnimmt und weiterführt.
Die Wahl des Kunden fiel dazu diesmal auf schön und gleichmäßig dunkel gefärbte Mooreiche. Zusätzlich bekamen die Schalen eine Unterlage aus rotem Fiber spendiert.

Wie man anhand der schwarzen und roten Alox-Farmer erkennen kann, beschreitet Victorinox seit der Einstellung der Alox-Special-Run-Serie wohl neue Wege, was farbige Alox-Messer angeht.

Das neueste Modell in dieser Richtung ist das Victorinox Black Alox Pioneer (Artikelnummer: 0.8201.23), welches sich sehr stark an das Victorinox Black Alox Pioneer 2012 limited edition anlehnt.
So hat es mit diesem die schwarz eloxierten Schalen sowie das rote Schild gemeinsam, allerdings hat ihm im Vergleich zum 2012er Pioneer noch einen Schlüsselring bei ansonsten gleicher Werkzeugzusammenstellung. Vergleich siehe Bilder.
Ich bin gespannt, wie sich diese Entwicklung fortsetzen wird.

The newest knife is the Victorinox Black Alox Pioneer (Item Number: 0.8201.23) which is very similar to the Victorinox Black Alox Pioneer 2012 limited edition. So it comes along with black Alox scales and the red shield, but it has additionally a keyring. Compare the pictures.
I am very curious about the further progress concerning coloured Alox-knives.

Nach all den exotischen Hölzern, mit denen wir die Messer veredeln, freuen wir uns, wenn auch mal ein einheimisches Gehölz den Weg auf unsere Werkbank findet.

In Anlehnung an das Explorer Damast Limited Edition 2013 mit seiner Beschalung aus Eiche wünschte der Kunde ebenfalls eine Veredelung mit Eichenholz, wobei unsere Wahl auf ausdruckstarkes Eichenmaserholz fiel, welches nun ein Craftman ziert.
Zum Abschluß noch eine kleine Vorschau auf das noch zu zeigende Messer, welches wiederum das „Eiche-Thema“ aufnimmt…
